Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse has taught me a lot. That being said, there are some things that can’t be learned. There are some qualities good nurses inherently exude- a sense of reassurance, a feeling of calm, a sense of healing. These are qualities about myself I value very greatly, pieces of myself that set me aside just due to who I am as a person. I think everyone who has experienced care as a patient knows exactly what I’m talking about. It’s a feeling you have when you’re on the receiving end of care.

Opalite is very much a reflection of these parts of me. Let’s start with the name. Opalite is man made opal, complex dynamic beauty manufactured in a lab. This can be interpreted as something manufactured that occurs naturally, but there is another perspective. Human desire to create something for others that brings them joy. It’s also my birthstone (and a Taylor Swift song) which is just a bonus. Opalite Private Nursing reflects all the things I enjoy about nursing that I’m unable to accomplish as part of the health care system. The main component being time. Time to understand my patients’ needs outside simply the medicine. Private duty nursing gives me that privilege- time to personalize, perfect, and fully understand my patient. Which is why I became a nurse. And this is why I hope you choose me to give that kind of care.

Clinical Experience

Working with expecting mothers through the labor process, and through delivery of newborn life. Assessing both mother and baby to ensure safety- and providing interventions to ensure a healthy mom and newborn.

Labor and Delivery

Care for women throughout the lifespan- from preventative to emergent. Adolescence to menopause. Issues ranging from infertility to complications prior to childbirth.

Skilled Nursing Facilities

Ranging in levels of care from short term rehabilitation (post-operative or post-hospitalization), care for elderly struggling with dementia, and those with complex lifelong health conditions that require long term care.
